The title piece from my ongoing series of Antarctic science illustrations, Outer Space is Closer Than Antarctica, this illustration is the one that started them all off.
I was just as surprised as you when I discovered that outer space is typically defined as being 62 miles straight up from the ground, here on earth. That means that many many things are actually farther away from you right now compared to outer space, which is amazingly relatively close. What a nice reminder that we are inextricably linked to the stars....
This print is archival ink on acid Free Paper and available in 11 x 14 or 16 x 20 inches. Each one is signed and dated on verso and ships from my studio via USPS.
