2026 Postcards of the Month

This year I’m offering 100 spots in my Postcard of the Month subscriptions as a flat rate for either the full calendar year of 2026 or for six months (January-June). 

Each month I draw a new illustration and mail out a freshly illustrated, individually stitched postcard to each person who is subscribed. This brand new postcard arrives to the subscriber ready to write and mail to their intended recipient. Some folks keep them around to look at the art!

This is a low-risk way see if you like getting new art in your mailbox each month. There will be no monthly charge to manage, just purchase this item and enjoy a year or six months of postcards.

The Postcard of the month started in 2018 when I realized that I could do the postcard machine possibly from the future online. With my inverted pyramid scheme of delight in place as my marketing plan, I figured if each person who followed me on Instagram purchased one postcard per month, I’d be able to pay my bills. I began managing my postcard of the month subscriptions via Patreon and now I send a newly illustrated postcard to between 3 and 100 patrons. Each year there are a few themes that you can count on seeing in postcard form. I try to make one happy birthday, one thank you, one cool science fact, and one note of encouragement. Each month I sit down to draw what I most want to draw and it has been an experiment and a joy. I still look forward to doing it and I think part of the pleasure is addressing each envelope by hand.

One thrill for me is not knowing what the month’s card will look like until I begin to make it. In this way, this is a sketchbook practice which I share with anyone willing to take the risk.

Welcome-to-the-club kits will go out in December 2025. Then each month's freshly illustrated postcard is sent via USPS regular first-class mail in a cherry-dilly-bar-red colored envelope beginning in January of 2026.
